About Nandagopal P
I build technology companies, advise founders and study the forces—technical, commercial and human—that determine what endures.
Nandagopal P is an Indian technology entrepreneur, venture-studio CTO, investor and TEDx speaker. His work spans five operating companies, two investing relationships and three advisory roles. He works at the intersection of product engineering, AI strategy, venture building and founder decision-making.
I have always been more interested in the question behind the obvious question.
As a child, that meant puzzles, science, imagined worlds and taking things apart. Studying computer science at Manipal Institute of Technology turned that curiosity into a craft: programming was logic made tangible, and software could move an idea into the real world.
The path from engineer to entrepreneur was not clean. I freelanced, built applications, worked on simulations at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India, started a food business that failed, accumulated hard lessons, and eventually founded Asymmetri. Each chapter changed how I think about risk, customers, teams and the difference between activity and progress.
Today, much of my work happens before certainty exists. I help founders decide what deserves to be built, what the technology must make possible, where AI creates genuine leverage and how a young company can move quickly without creating fragility it cannot afford.
Build with ambition. Hold the ambition lightly.
Beneath that professional layer is a longstanding fascination with spirituality, meditation and consciousness. I am interested in attention: what directs it, what distorts it and how it shapes the lives and companies we create.
I do not see spirituality as an escape from entrepreneurship. I see it as a way of examining ambition, fear, identity and meaning while participating fully in the world. That inquiry shaped my TEDx talk, Manifesting Reality, and increasingly informs how I speak about leadership and responsible technology.
The two layers
One layer creates outward momentum. The other asks whether the direction, attention and intention behind that momentum are sound.
I work with founders and investors on product strategy, software architecture, venture building, AI defensibility and technical due diligence.
My spiritual inquiry is centred on consciousness, attention, manifestation and the possibility of pursuing meaningful work without becoming trapped by identity or outcome.
Current work
My involvement takes three distinct forms. Operating means building from within. Investing brings an operator’s judgment to capital. Advisory work is selective, focused and decision-led.
Companies where the work is hands-on: building products, technology and operating capability.
Building software products and technology systems for ambitious businesses.
Building early-stage companies through a technology-led venture studio.
Leading technology for a health-tech venture simplifying access to care.
Building at the intersection of AI, cryptography and emerging technology.
Co-building new business and technology foundations.
Bringing an operator’s lens to founders, portfolios and long-term capital decisions.
Focused guidance where product, technology or company-building judgment can unlock progress.
The journey
Not a résumé in disguise. These are the turning points that changed how I build, decide and understand risk.
Puzzles, science, imagined worlds and an instinct to take ideas apart became a lifelong habit of asking what sits beneath the obvious answer.
A postgraduate degree in Computer Science at Manipal Institute of Technology turned problem-solving into software—and software into a way to move ideas into the world.
A decade of freelance application work taught the commercial side of engineering: real users, imperfect briefs, delivery pressure and the value of trust.
Building automotive simulations at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India sharpened a systems view of technology and execution.
A food business, debt and a difficult reset made the lesson visceral: a product can be built well and still fail when the market truth is ignored.
Asymmetri grew from a founder-led technology practice into a company helping businesses design, build and scale software products.
Venture building expanded the work across operating companies, investments and advisory relationships—each at a different stage and with a different kind of leverage.
The current chapter brings AI, venture building, investing and public thinking together with a deeper inquiry into spirituality, attention and conscious ambition.
Expertise
Expertise is more useful when it names the decision, not just the discipline. These are the questions I am repeatedly brought in to help answer.
Product framing, technical roadmaps and architecture choices calibrated to the company’s actual stage, constraints and advantage.
70+ businesses across multiple industriesHands-on support across validation, product, engineering, team formation and the early systems that let a venture learn quickly.
Founder, operator and venture-studio CTOSeparating novelty from defensibility across proprietary data, workflow depth, distribution, infrastructure and user trust.
Published commentary across AI, sovereignty and productsTechnical due diligence, risk diagnosis and clear counsel for founders and investors when the answer is consequential but incomplete.

Achievements & proof
The strongest claims here are supported by operating roles, independent coverage and a body of public thinking—not self-assigned scores.
Expanded a founder-led practice into a full-service software and product partner working across markets.
Created the product and engineering capability used to launch and support early-stage companies.
Applied product and technology experience to founder evaluation, portfolio support and long-term capital decisions.
Worked on complex simulation systems before moving fully into entrepreneurship and company building.
Shares tested perspectives across AI, technology, venture building, spirituality and conscious ambition.
A sentence I return to
तत् त्वम् असि
“You are That.”
“You are That” points to the awareness within you as inseparable from the reality moving through everything. Seen clearly, ambition stops asking the world to complete you and becomes the expression of a wholeness already present.
A personal exploration of conviction, spirituality and the inner movement that precedes outward change.
If this combination of operator judgment and reflective inquiry is useful to what you are building, start with a short note.
